The Maoriland Steamship Company reported to the Auckland Harbor Board on Tuesday last that the cost ot repairing the damage done to the s.s. Lauderdale whilst being towed by the Board’s tug was £1074. The company asked whether there was any likelihood of an amicable settlement, ihe letter was referred to the Board in committee, the solicitors to be consulted in the meantime. The Tysor liner Star of New Zealand-, which left London for New Zealand on April 8, is due in Wellington about June 10. She comes via Australia, Auckland, and Napier.-
