BOUGHT BY DENMARK. A GENEROUS donation. United Press Association— Copyright COPENHAGEN, June 4. In -connection with the sale of Holbein’s picture of Christina of Denmaik, the Duchess of Milan, the purchaser, was about to sell it to an American for £75,000, when subscriptions saved it for the nation. One anonymous donor gave £40,000 towards the cost, and the Treasury added £IO,OOO. . v The Duchess of Milan bought the picture from the Duke. of York about a month ago for £66,000.
