BISHOP DOYLE. United Press Association— Copyright. (Received June 6. # 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 6. Bishop Doyle was found dead on his bed at Lismoro, partially undressed, as if he had died whilo retiring.
[The. Right Rev. Jeremiah Joseph Doyle, D.D., was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Lismoro, N.S.W. He was consecrated on August 28, 188/.] MRS. G. P. DONNELLY. [Per Press Association.] v / NAPIER; June 6. Mrs G. P. Donnelly (Airini Tonore) died at midnight to-night at her residonee, near Napier, after a long illness. [The late Mrs. G. P. Donnelly (A,rmi Tonore) was a noted Maori chieftamess of Hawke’s Bay and the -wile of Mr. George P. Donnelly. She was the daughter of the well-known Hawke s Bay chief, Karauria, who fell fighting for the British colours at JNgatapa, while her motlier was H-aromi te Ata, daughter of Erena, sister of the prorninent native chief of Omahu, Renata Kawepo (deceased). Through her, mother the-late' Mrs. Donnelly claimed direct descent from the celebrated Wai-maram-a chief Tiaki Tai. while through her father the deceased! claimed relationship to the chiefs rareha and Moamuiui and, further hack, she was brought into line with the Urewora tribe and the stems of the great Knh.ungunu tree, which extends from Gis borne inland to Lake Waikaremoana and down to the Wairarapa, while descent was also claimed direct from the Ngatawhiti and the Ngatihvnemamu, who were large landowners in the 1 atea district.] .
