The annual meeting of the German Tsavy League has been held at Kiel. Tt was reported that there are 977,563 members. Prince Henry of Prussia 'congratulated. the League on the restoration of harmony, recommending it to base its efforts upon the Navy Law, which, he said, was not always rightly understood in. Germany. Admiral Von Weber said that the defence of trade and coasts not only required a German navy, but the Grouping of the Powers during recent events in South-eastern Europe showed that a strong navy was indispensable 'to the political prestige of the Empire. Admiral Von Weber’s demonstration that the Navy Law is capable of much further expansion and could easily be made to cover a batch of new Invinfcibles, was vociferously applauded.
