YOUNG MAN WALKS INTO RIVER. [Pi;ii Pnicss Association.] WANGANUI, June 9. A young man. named A. C. Thompson, a greaser, who has been suffering from hallucinations and was taken to the hospital on Saturday night, left that institution at midnight, and was traced to a river close by. where the body was found at noon to-day, by the police. Deceased was highly respected, of quiet disposition., and was in l tsine&s here. He was not embarrassed financially. He recently came from Rangiora. and was a native of Tasmania, aged 26 years old. KILLED IN THE BUSH. WELLINGTON, June 9. A Tailiape message states that Jas. Grant, working in the bush at Rangakaua, was killed to-day. No details are available.
