FREEMASONRY.
THE NEW SOUTH WALES GRAND LODGE. TROUBLE OVER ELECTION OF GRAND MASTER. United Press Association—Copyright (Received June 10, 12.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 9. Considerable trouble exists between sections iof the Freemasons over the 'election of a Grand Master. When Lord Chelmsford became Governor, it was suggested that he should receive the position, but Mr. Nesbitt, Town Clerk, insisted that he had a prior Claim and informed Lord Chelmsford to that effect. The latter did not reply to the letter, but sent it to the Grand Lodge. Subsequently, the Governor complied with the request of a deputation to allow himself to be nominated, but to-day withdrew his name. Another candidate, therefore, has been nominated to oppose Mr. Nesbitt.
