Rates’ general weather forecast: Easterly winds, freshening to gale, with heavy rain, are probable north of East Cape, Taupo-, and Raglan, for a cyclonic movement is duo shortly. It may extend over the North Island and also affect the east coast of the South Island aftcil 36 hours, as pressure is weakening everywhere. Westerly winds, moderate to strong, are proliable in the meantime over the South Island, but there are indications that the glass will not fall so much in. the south as in the northern narts. Changeable weather may be expected generally.
