Up to date 34 tests have been played on English wickets, of which England lias Avon 15, Australia 6. and the other 13 lnwe been left unfinished. It is rather a coincidence that the lowest total in the series of games is 36 by the eolonial of 1902, in the match ■at Birmingham. England’s loAvest is 53 at Lord’s in 1888.]
