Lord Curzon, in a speech at the Colonial Institute,-declared that any concession to Indian aspirants must be qualified by the consideration'that no broach was allowed in the recognition ■of sovereignity. He warned his countrymen, “Wo have not heard the. last of the party aiming at our expulsion.” Its methods, he said, could" not be met with unanswering repression.
