The provision trade section of the London Chamber of Commerce is protesting against the. excessive moisture in Australian and New Zealand butters. It asks tho colonial Govenments to execise special supervision. TENDERS FOR MEAT FOR THE ARMY. The War Office is inviting tenders, closing on 22nd September, for 666,000 (pounds of tinned meat for delivery in January and February, no replacement to be allowed. THE CHURCH PAGEANT. The Church Pageant at Fulham Palace has been opened. Four thousand people are taking part, and it is expected that SO,OOO will witness the spectacle. [The pageant in question is a scries of' representations illustrative of the history of tho Church of England from its foundation to recent times.]
