The following is the Rev. D. C Bates’ general weather forecast: —An anti-cyclone with very humid and unstable conditions, prevails, but an expensive area ol : low pressure of considerable intensity, now threatens the North Island especially, and a westerly area of low pressure in due in the South on Sunday. Very unsettled weather, with rain\and strong winds, is probable generally: Expect easterly winds, strong to gale, soon to the north of East Cape and New Plymouth, and • strong south-east, changing by east to north, elsewhere.
