SUSPECTED INCINDIARISM.

DISCOVERED AT AY A IRQ A

(Per P ress Association.)

AVAIROA, June 12

A\ T liat was apparently a deliberate attempt to burn down AVinter’s store and bakery was/ made yesterday morning. It was found in the morning that during the night someone had ignited sheets of paper covering the goods. The paper all burnt out, and the woodwork caught, but owing to the absenco of air in tho boxed-in space the fire went out. Tlie only access was by a small hole made in a pane of, glass. Had the fire gone ahead all the block to Oman’s hotel must have gone. There is no clue. AA T inter had small insurances on a heavy stock.
