At the’ inquest on the body of Miss Horsnel.l, who died from injuries sustained ,by a fall from the Onehunga tram car, the jury found that death resulted from deceased being ±hrown,off the tram car by the ear starting before sbe had time to alight in safety. Claries Halley and Herbert Birkett. motorman and' conductor, were -charged with manslaughter, bail being allowed in each case of personal surety oi £IOO and another surety of £IOO.
