BUSINESS NOTES.
Messrs E. B. Hoadley and Son, in conjunction with the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., will offer for sale by auction, in Gisborne, during the coming spring, the Kowhai estate, in the Waimata Valley, about 20 miles from town. The property, which is to be sold under instructions from the owner, Mr M. H. Strachan, is being surveyed into nine blocks, varying in extent from 340 acres to 1280 acres.
Mr C. G. Bloore is advertising two blocks of rich land on the Poverty Bay flats for sale. Mr J. H. Gittos, agent for the "New Home” serving machine, has an announcement to tho public in this issue. The Melbourne Cash drapery and clothing establishment will bo closed all day to-day on account _ ol : marking down the stock and proparing_ bargains ready for the clearing sale which is to begin to-morrow, when the doors of the establishment will open at 10 a.m. Mr. H. Cole, Whangara, advertises for a station hand, able to plough, a man with dog preferred.
