BRITISH GOVERNMENT WARNED THREE YEARS AGO. THE FACT ONLY JUST REVEALED United Press Association— Copyright. (Received June 18, 10.10 p.m.) LONDON, June 18. The “Standard,” from an authoritative source, quotes a letter dated 11th May, 1906, informing the Admiralty of the fact that enormous expenditure was in progress in Krupp’s works for the purpose of manufacturing large naval guns and mountings quickly, adding, that these extensions will give possibility of an output far in excess of the whole capacity of Britain, and that the scheme must either be based on immense future requirements for Germany or" Krupps mean to secure the whole ■armament trade of the world, outside that of the few great Powers who build for themselves. (Received June 18, 11.5 p.m.) Mr. McKenna (First Lord of the Admiralty), replying in the House of. Conimons to Mr. J. T. Midlemore (Liberal Unionist member for North Birmingham), said that the Admiralty early in 1906 were first aware that Krupp’s works were being extended, and that expansion and progress had been continuing since. _
