FEMALE WORKERS’ AWARD.
IPkr PitKss Association.! WELLINGTON, June IS. An award ©mliodying the agreement regarding female workers in the- bootmaking trade has been filed in the Arbitration Court. It applies to Auckland, Wellington. Canterbury, Otago, and ' Southland. Preference is. given to unionists. The : hours are 45 per week, overtime is to he time and acmartor for tho first 2 hours and time and a-half afterwards. The minimum wage for females after five years is LI 7s 6d per week; wax thread machinists, •l 15s• for apprentices; first year is, ils,"third 15s, fourth 19s, fifth 235. The award expires in 1911.
