PURSUANT to the provisions of ‘The Education Act, 1908,” and its amendments, notice is hereby given that on MONDAY, 26th July, 1909, an election will be held to fill THREE vacancies on the Education Board for the District of Hawke’s Bay, one member being required to represent each of the three Wards. The members who retire are:— North Ward.—McLERNON, Samuel. Middle Ward—WHITTINGTON, Charles Mitchell. South Ward —RIES, Hans. Madsen. Who are eligible for re-election. Nominations will close at 5 o'clock on the afternoon of MONDAY, sth July, 1909. Nominations should give the full name of the candidate, and must be signed by two or more members of a School Committee of the ward for which such candidate is nominated, and by the candidate consenting thereto, and must be received by the Secretary of the Education Board at his office, Tennyson Street.
