M. Barthou, French Minister of Public Works, speaking in French Lorraine, referred to the Casablanca incident, and said that France had been faced by an inadmissablo claim, and was unable to submit to servitude. Tho. Government remembered that certain conditions could not be imposed on France. The army was in a position to face all eventualities at that moment, and the 'whole country was steadily confronting the enemy.
