£150,000 OF SILVER COINS

TURNED OUT BY IMPERIAL MINT

Sir John T’orrost, the Commonwealth Treasurer, has completed arrangements with tho Imperial mint whereby the Commonwealth issue of silver coins will be minted- shortly. Under agreement with the Imporial Treasury, the Commonwealth will mint between £150,000 and £160,000 worth annually. The Australian profit will exceed £40,000 a year. The head of the King appears on one side, and some easily-recognised Australian design on the reverse side.
