He began journalistic work as a contributor to the “Saturday Review,” in 1890. He was for a year on the. Calcutta staff of, the “Indian Daily News,” and afterwards worked for the “Times” and other papers, and contributed to “Punch.” His publications were: “Mr, Punch s Dramatic /"Sequels,” “Lost Masterpieces,” “Three Plays with Happy Endings.” Plays: “The Two Mr. Wetherbys,” “The Return of the Prodigal,” “The Charity that Began at Home,” “The Cassilis Engagement.” Translated Les Trois Filles de M. Dupont, by Brieux, for • presentation, before the Stage Societj in 1905.]
