A SEAMAN KILLED
(Per Press Association./ WESTPORT, -June 21. P. Smith, a member of the crew of tlie steamber Kotuku, fell down tk? hold this morning and was killed.
DEATH FROM BLOOD POISONING
WELLINGTON, June 21. An adjourned inquest was held todav concerning the death of a seaman named. Matthew Moore, who fell on board the scow Echo at Foxton, and died in the Palmerston Hospital. A verdict was returned to the effect that Moore died from blood poisoning due to an injury to the knee cap.
A YOUNG WOMAN FOUND DEAD
CHRISTCHURCH. June 21. A young woman, Jane Thomas, living with her sister in Kilmore street, was found dead in bed this morning. A medical man had been in attendance. Lung trouble is said to be the oause of death.
