Germany is building one of* 500 horsepower. 1 REPORT OF PARLIAMENTARY , COMMITTEE. OPTION OF PURCHASING AIRSHIP SECURED. (Received June 23, 12.25 a.m.) LONDON, June 22. The Parliamentary Aerial Defence Committee state that an airship of 227,500 cubic feet is approaching completion. They hope it will sail between Paris and London before the Parliamentary session concludes. The committee secured the option of purchase for the nation. The airship has two propellers and motors, each of 220 horse-power, carrying petrol for a 750 mile journey, with 25 passengers, at a speed of 35.40 miles an hour. The “Daily Mail” offers £SOOO to build a garage to enable the airship to’ remain in England until the test.
