After leaving the deputation, Mr. Carroll turned to step on to liis carriage, when he stumbled over a bag and nearly fed under the moving wneo’s. He was assisted up and helped on to the carriage, and appeared to have received only a shaking. WELLINGTON, June 24. The Acting-Premier returned from Hawke’s Bay to-night.
