WOOL SALE AT FEILDING. (Per Press Association.) FEILDING, June 2j5. Hugh Roberts started a monthly sale of woo!, hides, and skins at Feilding to-diyf/. Vcr- high price® were realised, there being spirited bidding. A line qf butchers’ half-dry skins made 6s 6d, a record for the Dominion. Medium fleece brought up to 7d, lambs to 73d, and. best crutch ings s'i d; skins., fine to three-quarterbred woo’, 7jj[d. LONDON MARKETS. Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co., are in receipt of the following market report, dated 14th May. from their London house. Messrs. Sanderson, Murray iand Co —AVool: Since our last circular the market has been firm and competition keen. The attendance of buyers continues large, and the auctions are passing off with good spirit. The position of greasy wtfol remains practically unchanged from our quotations of last week, but good' bulky scoured® have shown a hardening tendency, and prices arc now slightlv higher than at opening rates. Inferior faulty scoured wools of short rstap’e barely maintain last series’ closing quotations. Among crossbreds prices for tlie finer sorts generally are firm, while tlie medium descriptions in grease continue to be well competed for without change. . Coarse greasies, suitable for America, remain unchanged, but ordinary sorts', especially inferiors, show some improvement on opening quotatations. Prices for crossbred lambs’ wool have recoded 0 per cent from the ugliest point, but merino descriptions continue in good demand without change. Slipe and scoured crossbreds are firm at opening quotations.
