THE VICTORIAN DELEGATES. TO DEAL WITH SUGGESTIONS MADE. United Press Association —Copyright , MELBOURNE, June 25. It is stated that Colonel Foxton has not been commissioned to urge any specific views upon the Defence Conference, but rather to deal with suggestions made, at the same time preserving Australian ideals. He is not bound definitely on any question as to what form Australia’s contribution should take, but knows that the Ministers prefer that it should he in the shape of a ship and men rather than an increased subsidy. Tlie belief is that the final result of Australia’s offer will be. the establishment of a small section of the Imperial navy provided by the Commonwealth. \ . _ THE DATE OF MEETING. FIXED FOR JULY 28. (Received June 25, 11.35 p.m.) LONDON, June 25. ■ The Imperial Defence Conference is to meet- on July, 28.
