NEW ZEALAND ALLIANCE

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. (Por Press Association.) WELLINGTON. June 25. The executive of the New Zealand -Alliance, which was appointed by the annual meeting in Christchurch, met last night and elected their officers for tiio present year -as follows: Chairman, Rev. A. Dewdney; secretary. Rev. JDawson; treasurer, Mr. J. W. Brown; oeneral organiser for the Dominion, Rev F. AY. Isitt (he having desired to be relieved of the secretaryship). In reference to Air. Isitt the following resolution was unanimously adopted:— ‘T'he Rev. F. AY. Isitt having requested to he relieved of the strenuous duties of secretary of the New Zealand Alliance on the ground of faring health, and the annual meeting liavin<r most regretfully complied witli liis wish tho Executive hereby places on record its cordial appreciation of the splendid service which Mr. Isitt has all alon" rendered to the No-License cause. To a lofty moral enthusiasm has been united a* kindliness of manner wlneh has made it a pleasure to be associated with him hi temperance work. the Executive rejoices that Mr. Isitt lias been spared to see such cheering signs of progress in connection with the cause to which he has devoted so many stienuous years. While regretting the' necessity that compels him to retire from the post he has filled so -ably and so ]ono\ the Executive is glad to know that Air. Isitt will still continue as a valued counsellor and co-worker in the cause of moral reform.” . The Rev. J. Dawson having been appointed bv the annual meeting to succeed Mr. Isitt as general secretary, was cordially welcomed by the Executive. _ .
