FLOCK OF SHEEP DESTROYED
FIVE HUNDRED DROWNED AT TAURANGA. [Per Paras Association.]' TAURANGA, June 30. A mob of 518 sheep, landed hero today by the steamer Squall from Gisborne; consigned to the Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., were left to graze on unoccupied land for a few hours; Late in the afternoon five hundred were found drowned ; in the harbor. How they got there is unknown.
