The, House of Representatives carried the Government’s supply proposals by 34 to 26, after an acrimonious debate, during which tlxe Chairman VvV 'threatened to name Mr Joseph Cook, ; w ho resented Sir W. Lyne’s taunts. THE CHIEF JUSTICESHIP. REJECTED BY MR WADE. SYDNEY, June. 30. Mr Wade stated that he had- been * urged to accept the Chief Justiceship, but had declined. The debate was adjourned.
