The German Navy/League invited the German-American National Union to join at. Tho Union replied that the League ought -to remember that the members of the Union were citizens of the United States, adding that, with all their love for the old home, and pride in Germany’s greatness and power, they must decidedly object to the invitation, and every German-American should do likewise.
