FIRST SITTING AT WESTPORT. (Per Press Association ' WESTPORT, July 5. The first sitting of the Supreme Court at Westport took place to-day, Mr. Justice Cooper presiding. In. a perjury charge against Mrs. 0 Bnen no bill was returned. Peter Cumming, charged with unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under 16 years of age,, was found guilty, with a /recommendation to mercy, the Jua 0 e stated that he would have the probation officer’s report in the morning, and if it was favorable would consider the recommendation, but not otherwise. Civil and licensing cases are set down for hearing to-morrow.
