The question of the appointment of match and refreshment committees was mentioned. Air. Nasmith, junr., stated that at the last annual meeting these committees were annointed apart from the general committee, but as this course left the general committee nothing to do, he thought it wiser that these committees should be appointed by the general committee as sub-com-mittees. Nasmith, junr., brought up- the rule of the i\orthern Bowling Association, which prohibited a bowler playing for two clubs in inter-club and club prize matches -without the consent of the Association. He stated that the rule was not optional,, and would perforce act harshly on some of the club’s members. Air. Sheet stated that he thought ,it wouuld only require a member to write to the Association and he would obtain the necessary permission. It was agreed that the matter be left with the members concerned. ’ Trophies won during the season were then presented by the chairman. Air Bennett announced that he would have pleasure in. awarding each year a set of bowls to the winner of the Bennett Crip. Air. J. The Secretary stated that Air. H. J. Grieve had presented -a gold medal to be played for next season, Mr. W. J. Cox had promised a trophy, and Mr.. W. H.
