DINGHRA COMMITTED FOR TRIAL

Dinghra has been committed for trial. He objected to the word “murder,” and claimed justification fo r his crime on the ground of patriotism. He made a rambling vehement attack on British rule in India, alleging that it was causing opppression and atrocities. His remarks implied.a claim of “India for the Indians.” He expressed a wish that the sentence of death . might he passed, and said that his compatriots’ vengeance would be all the keener. He concluded by appealing to sympathisers in America and Germany.
