FRESH CHURCH ACCOMMODATION "WANTED. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 10. At the Diocesan Synod Air. W. A. Izard (Wanganui) moved, “That in the opinion of this Synod the time lias now come when the question of providing fresh church accommodation in the parish of Christ Church, Wanganui, should bo considered, and with a view thereto that tliis Synod direct the diocesan trustees to utilise part of the Church acre situated in Victoria Avenue for revenue producing purposes.” After debate the motion was declared carried on tlie voices by both clergy and laity, Imt was vetoed by Bishop Wallis, who said it gave him very great pam to take such steps. Supporters, however, could appeal to the General Synod. A resoluting was passed agreeing to contribute for the year ending March, 1910, a sum nof £lO5 to the Alaon Mission Board.
