A recent “passage worker,” who arrived in Sydney some time ago in a vessel from Scotland, informed the Sydney Labor Council that on the’ same vessel there were three stowaways. He has since made an affidavit that the names of these three men were net placed on the ship’s articles, and that they were secretlv landed in Australia in a destitute condition. The Collector of Customs is awaiting the return of the vessel to Sydney, when he will make exhaustive inquiry into the allegation. The informant states that be can supply ample evidence to prove his statements.
