MESSENGER BEATS KEMP. United Press Association— Copyright (Received July 11, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 10. Charles Messenger beat S. Kemp for £IOO a-side on the Parramatta River. Both Messenger and Kemp had been suffering from influenza. Messenger won by a length in 21min r 3ssec. He collapsed when passing the judge’s boat. Kemp kept him from falling overboard.
