The suffragettes have become a species of Imperial vaudeville entertainment. One does not think of them as individuals associated with a movement to secure “woman’s rights/' but as persons bent on “making things lively” and smashing things, ending or mending Parliament and all its pomps. The suffragettes are putting back the cause of feminine franchise, but will they grieve on that account if they continue to achieve notoriety? —“Evening Post.”
