FURTHER FIGHTING. THE SHAH’S TROOPS CHECKED. United Press Association —Copyright {Received July 12. 9.45 p.m.) TEHERAN, July 12. Twelve hundred of the Shah’s troops, under three Russian officers, attacked a united force of Baklvtiare tribesmen and other Nationalists at Badamek, 12 miles westward of Teheran. Their position was shelled fcr two hours with, four guns, under cover, while 2000 Persian Cossacks galloped across the plain and occupied a small hill to the north-east of the Nationalists’ position, whence two mounted guns replied at intervals. These guns dropped four shells on the hill, and the Cossacks retired, intending to renew operations to-day.
