N.Z. AMATEUR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION. [Peb Pbkss Association.l WELLINGTON, July 12. The Council of the. New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association revised the .rules of the Association to-night. The rule giving the Council power to inflict a fin© not exceeding £5 for violation of the' laws was deleted. It was decided that the Council shall comprise members representing centres, who must be amateurs under the ama- 1 teur definition, provided that no person may represent more than one centre, each centre to be represented by two members. The headquarters were fixed at Wellington. but to be transferred by a majority vote of the centres unless the Council decides otherwise. No defaulter or suspended «>r disqualified person shall represent a club or centre. A method of scoring for the centre premiership at the New Zealand championship meeting was adopted, r* follows : First, o points; second, 3 points. It is to be suggested to the centres that one .point be awardedj to each centre whose representative equals a standard. No new' district is to be proclaimed a centre with, less than three affiliated clnhs. At future championships the cost or standard caps and badges will be borne by the Council. "The rule providing for an individual all-round championship was deleted. It was decided that in throwing the 161 b hammer the throw be from a 7ft circle, instead of one of 9ft.
