During the debate on the censure motion, Mr. Donaldson, member of the Aborigines Protection Board, made an appeal on behalf of the half-caste children in the aborigines’ camps, who,, he declared, are being dragged up in had surroundings, without a chance of leading useful lives. -Last year there were 2152 full-blooded and 4781 halfcaste aborigines in New South Wales; compared with the year 1882, the fullbloods showed a decrease of 4398 and the half-castes an increase of 2412.
