Dlt. FREXGLEY’S VISIT. Dr. J. P. Frongley, District Health Officer for Wellington, and bacteriologist to the Public Health Department, visited Gisborne on Saturday to inquire into the merits of Mr. F. W. Marchant’s drainage scheme, With a view of subiii iiting a report to .Dr; \ alintine. Chief Health Officer. . Dr. Frongley inspected the proposed sites of the septic tanks arid .primping stations, and took a iipnibor of- *s*ixTipl<ss• of Wiitor fioiu trie town mains for analysis to ascertain it the water contains any fungi, and it such was the case, if the fungi in question would have any chemical effect upon the pipes to ho used in the scheme or upon the bacteria, in the.septic tanks. A report upon the analysis or the water will probably bo sent to the Borough Council.
