THE NAVAL REVIEW.

CABLE NEWS.

AN ENORMOUS GATHERING. A HUNDRED THOUSAND ' SPECTATORS. United Press Association— Copyright. % LONDON, July 18. A public inspection of the fleet will be permitted during the visit to the Thames and the Nore. Thousands of visitors by trains and steamers from all parts of the country are pouring in. LONDON, July 19.

There was brilliant weather for the review, and over 100,000 spectators assembled to witness the spectacle. Southend Street pier was almost impassable. The corwds on the Victorian embankment to see the submarines and torpedo vessels recalled those at the Coronation. Thousands of the people present had never seen a battleship before.

The steamers viewing the fleet were packed with excursionists. Bluejackets acted as guides to the public inspecting the warships, whose cutters were used to convey the people to and from the shore.

The sailors and marines will attend special church parades ashore in the morning.

The smaller towns along the riverside are arranging entertainments on a generous scale.
