The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ general weather forecast: An easterly gale,, with heavy rain, is proliable north of East /Cape and Kawhia, and northerly strong to gale thence to Hokitika and Lyttelton and westerly elsewhere. Rain and cloudy weather probable generally. Barometer falling everywhere, but very unsteady in the southern districts.
