Delaunay who shot himself dead after fatally shooting two police officers, was the ringleader of the robbers of churches, and museums at Limoges, Brives, Guret, and other places in the Department of Correze. ' The proceeds of these robberies, with numerous works of art, were found at his lodgings, where the tragedy occurred.
