CRIMINAL SITTINGS AT AUCKLAND.
(Per Press Ansociatieß.) AUCKLAND, July 20. Several prisoners were sentenced at the Supreme Court this afternoon. Bertie Lyons, alias Harry Davis, on three charges of forgery and uttering, one charge of theft from! a d*v\ elling, and one charge of theft, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to he concur lent. Rangi Wiremu, a young Maori, convicted or uttering a forged cheque at Whangaroa, was sent to gaol for six months with hard labor. Geo. Sullivan, who pleaded guilty to a charge of foi-o-ery and uttering, at Helensville, was sent to gaol for two years, with hard labor. Clias. Geddis, an old man, for forgery and uttering, was sentenced to three years’ hard labor, a nd declared an habitual, criminal.
