THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. U. Bates’ general Weather forecast:- —Unsettled weather probable generally, and especially over the South Island. Barometer little movement northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and there arc indications for a smart fall soon in the southern districts before a definite rise takes place. Westerly winds will prevail northward of Cook Straits, and increasing northerly winds proliable elsewhere shortly.
