VISIT TO .PAHIATUA

(Per Press Association.) PAiHIATUA, July 21. The Hon. G. Fowlds, Minister for Education, accompanied by Sir E. 0. Gibbes, Secretary for Education, arrived by the mail train to-day, and was met by the Mayor and the School Committee at 2.30 p.m. He formally opened the new district high school. Speeches were given by the Minister, the Rev. Mr. Speir (chairman of the School Committee), - and Mr. \ lie (Education Board member). After declaring the school open, the Minister and others planted trees. He attended the school social to-night, and will return to Wellington, to-morrow.
