PUBLIC SCHOOL CADETS.
SOME IMPORTANT CHANGES
[Peu Pricsb Association.] AVEjLiLINGTON, July 25. The Government has decided to make some changes in the training and administration of the public school cadet force. The money hitherto spent on rail and coach fares for cadets to travel to parade, competitions, etc., is in future to be spent in bonuses to the members of the permanent force and district staffs, in consideration of their giving instruction where possible, the fonnoi iu cities and the latter m country districts. The construction of rifle ranges is to be encouraged. Boaute,. school ' committees, and other hod will be subsidised £ for £, up to an amount to be determined in cadi m pioved case, for these ranges. A spe Sal 22 miniature rifle will be provided and special competitions arranged.
