[Per Press Association.l FEILDING, July 30. The sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was occupied to-day in hearing a charge against Frederick Cyril Ross, late secretary of the Cheltenham Dairv Company, of stealing various sums from the company as a servant. Eight charges were laid, aggregating j.i-40, extending over four years. Th*e special auditor appointed by the directors to examine the books stated that the total defalcations amounted to Ljluß. One -system adopted by Ross was to add his salary to bis milk cheque, then draw a separate cheque for his salary, thus paying himself twice. The accused pleaded guilty to all the charges, and was remanded to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence.
