CONCLUSION OP PROCEEDINGS
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 30. Further resolutions carried by the Farmers’ Union were: That a clause be aded to the Comapnies’ Act, giving co-operative dairy companies power to borrow money to lend to suppliers for the purpose of increasing; their herds and improving their yields; that this conference respectfully requests that members of Parliament representing country constituencies unite with other members of Parliament to resist further class taxation, and that each provincial executive in the Dominion be invited to co-operate with them ; that while the conference places on record apreciation of the valuable assistance to the farming industry by the Department of Agriculture, which has thereby increased rural production, it is desirable that a better system of marketing produce bo introduced by means of through hooking by both, rail and sea ;that this conference emphasises the importance to the Dominion of farmors’ 1 education and commerce co - operation. ~ * . , The conference concluded at 10 o clock last night.
