THE WEATHER.
The Rev. D. O. Bates telegraphed yesterday: A cyclonic disturbance made its appearance very suddenly from the north-west to-day. Very heavy ram and high, winds may be expected over the North Island, and will probably envelop the whole country within 36 hours.
